Main exam for Deputy Section Officer/Deputy Mamlatdar


GPSC invited applications for Deputy Section Officer/Deputy Mamlatdar under Advt. No – 94/2011-2012, GPSC preliminary exam for Deputy Section Officer/Deputy Mamlatdar was conducted on 22nd January, 2012 and its result is now declared. Those who qualified for this preliminary GPSC exam can only be able to appear in the main exam taken by GPSC for Deputy Section Officer/Deputy Mamlatdar
The qualifying standards in preliminary exam were as per this

  • Open/General, SEBC, SC Categories – 42 Marks (for Male candidates) and 39 Marks (Form Female candidates)

  • ST Category – 35 Marks (for Male candidates) and 33 Marks (Form Female candidates)

  • For Disable candidate – 34 Marks (Male/Female)

  • For ex-serviceman – 41 Marks (Male/Female)


  • Schedule for main examination for Deputy Section Officer/Deputy Mamlatdar



    Main examination will be conducted on two days
    First on 26th May, 2012 and Second on 27th May, 2012. Seating arrangement, Exam schedule and exam centre information will be provided in admit card when prescribed application of Main exam is received and processed at GPSC office, Ahmedabad

  • Step-1 Go to http://ojas.guj.nic.in and look for "Main Exam/Result"

  • Step-2 Select appropriate level of exam i.e. GPSC/20112012/94, Deputy Section Officer/Deputy Mamlatdar.

  • Step-3 Type your Confirmation Number, Date of Birth.

  • Step-4 Print your application form and send it along with required attachments and fee Challan to GPSC office address from 09-04-2012 to 23-04-2012.

  • Total positions: 253 (Including reservation)


  • Open/General – 131(39 reserved for Female candidate)
    SEBC – 68 (20 reserved for Female candidate)
    SC – 17(05 reserved for Female candidate)
    ST – 37 (11 reserved for Female candidate)

  • Eligibility - Required and appropriate degree in Veterinary discipline

  • Salary – Rs. 9300-34800 (Grade pay of Rs. 6000)

  • Age limit: 35 till last date of acceptance of application, Candidate will get appropriate concession in age limit according to his/her caste and category


  • Steps to apply online for Veterinary officer preliminary exam



  • Go to http://ojas.guj.nic.in, Click on Apply online, Select Veterinary Officer, Class-II

  • Click on apply now, fill up 'Personal Details' and 'Educational Details' and 'Additional information' regarding degree and related details.

  • Click Yes/No on self declaration

  • Save it and Application Number will be generated. Remember this for future reference

  • You can edit the information if you want to change any details later on. To do so, Click on Edit Application

  • Upload the photo and signature at appropriate location in application format

  • Now confirm the application once you find everything OK with details and It will generate Confirmation Number, save and remember this for future use.

  • General/Open candidate has to print challan for fee payment with Rs. 165/-

  • Finally print the application once you have all information ready and send it with appropriate documents and fee challan to GPSC office within prescribed time limit.

  • The exam is preliminary type, once the candidate qualify in this exam will be permitted to appear in final/ main exam.
