Eligibilty test for recuritment of new teachers

The teachers eligibility test (TET) for new appointment as teachers in respective fields in going on.


Teachers will have to pass the Teacher Elegibility Test(TET) before applying for job.As per Right to Education Act,National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE) issued detailed guidelines for new recuriment of Teachers in Govt, Private, Government aided and unaided will have to adhere the guidelines for new appoinment of teachers.

As per the new rule:-
The Teacher Elegility Test will be conducted by State and Central Government once in a year. Irrespective of B.Ed., this test certificate is a mandatory for securing teaching job in any School. This Test is meant for Primery teachers. Minimum 60% mark is a must to pass on this Test. This Test certificate is valid for seven years. If not secured job in seven years after getting this Certificate, have to go for a fresh certificate. There is no bar on the no attemts for getting the Test Certificate.The data/records for above Test Eligibility Test will be maintained by NCTE and will be shared with State Governements /UT. There will be two papers for this tests with multible choice questions(MCQs. Paper 1 for teachers for 1st to 5th Standard,Paper 2 for teacher for 6th to 8th Standard. Those who want to teach 1st Std to 8th Std has to appear for both papers.

This new test system designed for imporving the standard of teachers. All the schools will have to undergo this new system before requirement of teachers in any schools.
