    Evergreen Concept of Gujarat University- Ahmedabad

    Gujarat University has taken an initiative to reduce the impact of Global Warming by undertaking to plant around 60,000 saplings in their campus. This programme is overwhelmed by a great response from Ahmadabad and Narendra Modi's presence to make it more cleaner and greener Ahmadabad.


    Gujarat University set to make Gujarat an Evergreen one



    Looking after the rising problems of Global Warming that is touching to a greater extend with the heavy unruly population in Ahmadabad, Gujarat University took the pledge of raising something new that could benefit both Gujarat State as well as on whole our Country- India and a small contribution towards the World issues.

    Gujarat University announced that it would undertake a programme that would bring prosperity to a greater extend by upbringing a programme called- Plantation Programme in Ahmadabad, which is nothing but planting trees to benefit the Environment. With this motive, the Gujarat University is ready to order about 60,000 plant species to their campus for planting those along the College Campuses under them. Gujarat University has planned to change the area under their campus to a Botanical Garden of Ahmadabad, Gujarat. This initiative was supported by all the students of the Campuses and hailed such a brave and gentle decision taken by the University.

    Gujarat University's Vice Chancellor- Dr. Parimal Trivedi was very happy to announce such a Programme who said that there will be plantation of various kinds of crops which will include varieties of Green Trees, Floral Plants, Medicinal Crops that will be planted in the campus and would peruse much information in a helpful way for Botany students perusing their career in Medical sciences and Environmental Students who wants to seek more about some of the crops that would be planted in the campus.

    According to Dr. Parimal Trivedi, this programme will be benefited by all the students along with the Environment Protection Management to make the Earth more greener and greener. The protection of all those saplings in the campus will be in hands of the Students of Gujarat University who could make this a Botanical Garden of Ahmadabad. Gujarat University's officials declared that maintaining the greenery along with the Campus Building was one of the reason behind it and to keep it more clean and greener by maintain it in the main University campus. This programme will soon be applied to other University areas of Ahmadabad too.

    In the programme, Narendra Modi will be present as a Chief Guest and other guests from other Universities will also be present at Gujarat University Campus. The programme will be followed by Narendra Modi's first guard to crop a sapling which will be followed by others. Students from the campus have also taken part in the programme to make the Planet and the state of Gujarat- A step towards building a greener environment.
