Diwali-The festival of light in Gujarat

Diwali is the most important festival of Hindu people and also for Gujarati people.During the days of Diwali, people lit their houses and decorates them.So Diwali is otherwise called as festival of lights.It is held in the honor of Lord Rama's victory over Ravana.People prepare sweets and wear new clothes during these days.The small child fire crackers and enjoy sweets.The businessmen clear up their account.Diwali marks the end of the old year.From the next day new year of Vikram starts.On this New Year Day people g to one another houses and exchanges greetings.They wish one another 'Happy New Year'.It is grand celebration of light in Gujarat.
