"Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar will be developed as twin cities in the same manner as New York-New Jersey. We want to connect Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar with metro rail," he said at a function organised at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar to mark the conclusion of BJP-organised Prakriti Padyatra.

Modi said that the way life had been infused into Sabarmati by diverting the Narmada water, government wants to revive the Sabarmati River till Gandhinagar.
