To rescue birds injured by 'manja' and provide immediate treatment to them, a helpline (9898019059 and 9898499954) has been launched by Karuna Foundation which has also established three control rooms in different parts of the city Rajkot on the occasion of Uttarayan. Two control rooms are at Sorathiyawadi Circle, near Swaminarayan temple on Kalavad and the main control room at Trikon Baug in city. Local volunteers will be on the streets throughout these two days and seven veterinary doctors from Anand will be here to attend to the birds. All necessary equipment for the treatment of the injured birds has been arranged..
