BAPS means Bochasanvasi shri Aksharpurushottam swaminarayana Sanstha.Sanstha is otherwise says as organization.
The leader of this organization is Pramukh Swaami Maharaj whose name was Shantilal in his childhood. he was born at 7 December 1921; Magshar sud 8, Vikram Sanvat 1978 at Chansad, Gujarat.He has been Spiritual Head of BAPS Since 23 January 1971; Posh vad 11, Vikram Sanvat 2027.He visits many houses of many people to solve their problems, to make people habituation free of tobacco, to bless peoples and to make them faith in God.He has visited Over 15,500 Villages and Over 50 Countries Visited till today.He also solve peoples problem by letter and by phone,He has Letters Read & Replied more than 500,000.Many people come to meet him face to face and he Personally Counseled & Comforted more than 810,000 people.He has build many temples through the world more than 700 temples and make more than 800 people Sadhu who are his followers saints and his followers are too many through out the world.The sole reason behind his unique success is a deep and fluent communion with God.
The main construction of temple to visit in Gujarat is Akshardham temple in Gujarat in Gandhinagar built by him and too many big and small temples in Gujarat also.
