Gujarat state's capital is Gandhinagar (Gandhinagar with Ahmedabad is the largest city in this state) and other important (major) cities are Surat, Rajkot, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Jamnagar and Bhavnagar.

Gujarat state has flourished economically as Amul(Largest Milk Product Producer) is located at Anand. Surat is known as a Hub of Diamond Trade. Gujarat State is the first ever state to produce Gas based Thermal Electricity in the nation.
